Rapper duo Cardi B and Offset have become parents for the second time. Cardi revealed in an Instagram post on Monday morning that she gave birth to their son on September 4.
”9/4/21,” she captioned a photo of herself and her husband with the newborn under blankets in a hospital room – the newborn can be seen cradled in Cardi B’s arms while Offset babies praises.
Meanwhile, Offset shared another heartwarming picture from the maternity ward, in which she can be seen holding the baby while Cardi B is seen admiring the father-son duo. “Chapter 5,” Offset wrote.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Cardi B and Offset said in a statement: “We are so happy to finally meet our son. He is already very much loved by family and friends and we look forward to introducing him to our other siblings.” Can’t wait.”
Cardi announced her pregnancy in June with a surprise baby bump at the 2021 BET Awards, where she won Video of the Year and Best Collaboration for the smash hit “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion.
Meanwhile, she shared this stunning shot of her pregnant selfie on Instagram.
The couple are already parents to their three-year-old daughter Kulchar Kiari. Offset, 29, has a daughter Kale, six, and sons Cody, six, and Jordan, 11, from previous relationships.
Cardi and Offset, who wed in 2017, are headed for divorce at the end of last year, but reconciled as of November 2020.
