NEW DELHI: The Union Health Ministry on Thursday warned people to avoid crowds and follow covid Fair behavior before the festive season.
Addressing a weekly briefing, the health ministry said it would be prudent to avoid non-essential travel and follow the festivities in the short run.
It said, “With increasing population density, the chances of spread of Covid increase, so it would be prudent to avoid non-essential travel and observe the festival in less time.”
The Union Health Secretary said, “Active cases are decreasing across the country, the cumulative recovery rate is increasing. The recovery rate in the country is around 98%.” Rajesh Bhushan said.
He said that the number of COVID-19 tests has not come down as 15-16 lakh tests are being conducted every day.
