Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett to visit India from April 2

The two leaders, PM Modi and Bennett, met for the first time last October on the sidelines of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow, where PM Modi had invited Bennett for an official visit to India. The Israeli PMO said in a release that the visit aims to further strengthen the strategic alliance between the countries and expand bilateral ties. In addition, the two leaders will discuss strengthening cooperation in various fields including innovation, economy, research and development, agriculture and others.

The visit will mark the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of full diplomatic relations between the two countries since India opened the embassy in Tel Aviv in 1992. Over the years, bilateral engagement has revolved around defense and agriculture, but recent years have seen a rapid growth in ties across various sectors.
