Israel Police reported that two individuals in the car were killed in the shootout, which occurred near the city of Netivot, close to Gaza. Multiple rounds were fired, leaving shattered car window fragments strewn across the road.

Israel categorizes Hamas and other Palestinian groups as ‘terrorists,’ with whom they have engaged in numerous violent clashes, including the current conflict that began on Saturday.
Israeli police and soldiers have been confronting Palestinian groups responsible for targeting civilians and taking hostages in the southern part of the country since the outbreak of the full-scale war on Saturday.
The defence forces have been launching airstrikes on Hamas hideouts along the Gaza border, pledging to reduce them to rubble. This response comes after Hamas fired thousands of rockets into Israel.
Hamas has threatened to execute civilian hostages who were kidnapped and brought across the Gaza border if Israel continues its airstrikes. Israel, however, remains resolute in escalating its attacks, including a potential ground incursion into Gaza.
