Islamabad on high alert amid rumors of Imran Khan’s murder

Security agencies in Islamabad were put on high alert in areas around the city’s Bani Gala following rumors of a plot to assassinate former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. A police spokesperson confirmed that Section 144 has already been imposed in the city and gatherings have been banned.

“In view of the possible arrival of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Imran Khan at Bani Gala, which is a residential area located in Islamabad, security has been beefed up in the area and a high alert has been sounded. However, Till now Islamabad Police has not received any confirmed news of Imran Khan’s return from team,” Islamabad Police tweeted.

The statement said, “Security Department has deployed special security at Bani Gala. The list of people at Bani Gala has not yet been given to the police. Section 144 is in force in Islamabad and any gathering will be prohibited as per the orders of the District Magistrate,” the statement said. Not allowed.”

“Islamabad Police will provide full security to Imran Khan as per law and mutual cooperation is also expected from Imran Khan’s security teams,” the police said.

Imran Khan’s nephew Hassan Niazi said that if something happens to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief, the act will be considered an attack on Pakistan.

Imran Khan’s nephew Hassan Niazi said, “Whatever happens to our leader Imran Khan, it will be treated as an attack on Pakistan. The response will be aggressive – handlers will also regret it.”

Hitting out at the previous government, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday expressed dissatisfaction over the slow pace of work on projects in Gwadar. The Prime Minister stressed that Pakistan’s development is linked to peace, stability and progress in Balochistan.

“The coalition government aims to help Balochistan by working with the provincial government and local elders,” Sharif said in a tweet on Saturday.

“During my visit to Gwadar, I saw how the PTI government had miserably failed the people of Gwadar. Despite wasting billions of rupees and precious time, it did not provide any solution to the water and electricity issues for the local people. also could not complete the project, who made great sacrifices for the Gwadar port,” he said.

During his day-long visit to Balochistan on Friday, Sharif attended the inauguration ceremony of the Eastbay Expressway and laid the foundation stone for seven more development projects for Gwadar.

The Express Tribune reported that a component of CPEC, the six-lane Eastbay Expressway would connect Gwadar Port with the Makran Coastal Highway, which would also provide a link to Karachi.
