The Hurriyat said it understands that no two conflict zones are alike and that the differences between Afghanistan and Kashmir are well known.

“We in Kashmir can certainly sympathize with the common people of the country, who have been living in a state of extreme uncertainty for 40 years,” it said.

The Hurriyat said it wished the people of Afghanistan peace and progress in their land and stability for the region.

“Long-term uncertainty does prevail and we hope that the people of Afghanistan will soon come out of it. We also hope that as the country begins the process of building its future and realizing its aspirations, all Regional and international member countries will expand their capacity and support it,” PTI quoted the statement as saying.
