Kerala Blasters FC made it to the final with a 1-0 win over a goal from Sahal Abdul Samad, courtesy of Jamshedpur FC, in the first leg of the 2021-22 Indian Super League semi-final at the PJN Stadium in Fatorda on Friday.
Sahal scored in the 38th minute to give Kerala the lead and it could have been 2-0 for the yellow shirt if Adrian Luna’s knuckleball free-kick had not come off the woodwork. Faced with an initial threat from Jamshedpur, Kerala’s defense was also strong, with Marko Leskovic leading the way.
