Top intelligence sources told CNN-News18 on Monday that Khalistani separatist Amritpal Singh has been given a major social media push through indirect funding by Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI from Canada, the United Kingdom and other countries.

He said that Facebook and Instagram accounts are uploading thousands of pictures of the alleged oppression of Sikhs in India.

Sources said that they are also advertised and these advertisements can be seen in Canada, UK and Germany.

According to sources, these advertisements have been designed in such a way that they are only going to the accounts of young Sikhs in the age group of 18-25 years.

He said that these ads are targeted for Sikh names and surnames like Singh, Kaur etc. These ads are paid and run for about a year.

Sources said that they reach out directly to the target audience in terms of showing atrocities, selling clothes, car accessories, etc. with pictures of Sikh atrocities.

Intelligence sources said that those involved are making millions of dollars for funding. He said that these advertisements are directly linking Sikh separatist leader Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale with Amritpal Singh.

He said that Waris Punjab D founder Amritpal is projected to walk and talk like Bhindranwale, with a turban on his head, and also looks like the militant leader who was killed in Operation Blue Star in 1984.

Intelligence sources say that the comments made in the post are not organic Indian Punjabi comments, but their language suggests that they are from Pakistan’s Punjab province. He said that in India, he could be viewed only if using a VPN with the location as Canada, Germany or the UK.
