As agitations against the controversial Agneepath recruitment scheme intensified in some parts of the country, the Center announced a slew of incentives to pacify the agitators, including 10 per cent reservation on vacancies for retirees in the defense ministry and paramilitary forces.
Notably, opposition leaders had demanded the withdrawal of the plan.
