After delivering Jai Bheem, smashing all-time classics like The Godfather and The Shawshank Redemption on IMDb, Suriya has started shooting for his upcoming film, tentatively titled Suriya 41. The actor is reuniting with acclaimed director Bala after 18 years. For this exciting project. Their last collaboration was the action-drama Pythimagan, which hit the big screen in 2003.
The latest update on the upcoming venture is that Suriya will be seen playing a double role in the film. However, there is no official update regarding this. Meanwhile, the film went on floors in Kanyakumari last week. After that he will shoot in Madurai. The makers are planning to complete the scheduled shoot in 40 days.
The still titled film is being produced by 2D Entertainment, a production house owned by Suriya and his wife Jyothika. According to reports, Jyothika will be seen in the female lead opposite Suriya. The film’s music is being composed by GV Prakash, who worked with Suriya for the hit 2020 film Soorarai Potru.
Also, the filmmaker has roped in acclaimed cinematographer Balasubramaniam Kathiresan to act as the DOP on the film. The rest of the cast and crew have not been revealed yet.
Talking about Suriya and Bala, the actor-director duo had teamed up for the film Nanda.
