“The All-India Senior Selection Committee has selected the Rest of India (ROI) squad for the Irani Cup to be played against the 2021-22 Ranji Trophy champions Madhya Pradesh,” the BCCI said in a statement on Monday.

“Sarfaraz Khan was unavailable for selection due to a hairline fracture in his left little finger. The All India Senior Selection Committee named Baba Inderjit in his place for the tournament.

Rest of India Team: Mayank Agarwal (Captain), Abhimanyu Easwaran, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Yash Dhull, Baba Indrajith, Upendra Yadav(wk), Atit Sheth, Saurabh Kumar, Harvik Desai, Navdeep Saini, Mukesh Kumar, Chetan Sakariya, Akash Deep, Mayank Markande, Pulkit Narang , Sudip Kumar Gharami.

Sarfaraz skipped Sunday’s warm-up match at the Eden Gardens, reported news agency PTI. Due to the injury, Sarfaraz had a protective fiber cast on the finger and did not bat or field during the day.
