Rinku Singh revealed that MS Dhoni advised him to stick to simple shots and not think too much while facing the ball
The IPL 2023 season has seen a lot of youngsters register their names on the biggest stage but none has shone this season more than Rinku Singh. Ever since the Kolkata Knight Riders star hit five sixes in a row against Yash Dayal, he has become a household name.
Rinku has faced many challenges in her life and the KKR star recently revealed a valuable piece of advice she received from Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni, whom Rinku called the ‘best finisher in the world’.
Hoping to focus on the 25-year-old Dhoni’s finishing, the CSK skipper was once again crucial in CSK’s 27-run win over Delhi Capitals.

Rinku revealed that Dhoni advised her to keep things simple and try not to think too much.
“He’s the best finisher in the world, I just asked ‘bhaiya’ what else can I do if I’m going to bat. He just told me don’t think too much, just wait for the ball and play accordingly ,” Rinku was quoted as saying by India Today.
After scoring 337 runs in 11 matches this season, the KKR star will be hoping to add to his tally when he takes on Rajasthan Royals with two-time IPL champs Lock Horne on Thursday.
Rinku is scoring at a blistering strike rate of over 150 and has outclassed the likes of Andre Russell, who has proved to be a vital finisher for KKR this season.

Throwing light on his batting mantra, the youngster from Uttar Pradesh said that he hopes to play simple shots, nothing fancy, just trying to act according to the situation.
“I want to play simple shots. I don’t want to play unnecessary shots. I play according to the balls and the situation. “All the players work on their shots and I try to be very simple,” said Rinku.
During KKR’s recent win over Punjab Kings, they needed 2 runs off the last ball when the youngster hit a boundary to help his team pick up two valuable points in the race for the IPL 2023 playoffs.
