Rajasthan Royals ended their two-match losing streak as they beat MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings by 32 runs to regain the top spot in the IPL 2023 points table at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Thursday. It was RR’s 200th match and they managed to get the much-needed win and stop CSK’s three-match winning streak.
Shivam Dube hit a half-century, his third in IPL 2023, however, the heroics of the middle-order batsmen went in vain as Adam Zampa took three wickets while Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed 77 off the first 43 balls to propel Sanju Samson’s side . Total 202/5.

The Indian opener hit 8 fours and four sixes while Jos Buttler could manage only 27 runs in 21 balls. Samson continued to struggle after scoring 17 off 17 balls, but Dhruv Jurel continued to shine as he stitched a crucial partnership with Devdutt Padikkal to score 34 off just 15 balls.
A bulls-eye throw from Dhoni removed Jurel, but Padikkal hit a four off the final ball of the innings to take his side past 200 and he returned unbeaten on 27 off 13.

CSK started their chase and it was back to the four-time IPL champs as Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad failed to capitalize on the powerplay.
For once, Samson brought on his spinners, especially Zampa – who was playing through an injury to Trent Boult – as the Australian spinner took 3 wickets for just 22 runs in 3 overs.
Gaikwad missed out on his half-century as he scored 47 off 29 balls, Dube made a late cameo with 52 and Jadeja’s 23 could not get CSK their fourth consecutive win, instead Royals ended their two-match losing streak ended the series.
