Verma convinced him otherwise and helped him to go to Himachal. However, Vaibhav again called his coach to help him explore career options elsewhere and Verma again changed his mind.
Eventually, things took a turn for the best and Vaibhav started getting noticed for his performance with the ball. On his Ranji debut, he finished with figures of 9/105 against Saurashtra which included the scalp of India batsman Cheteshwar Pujara.
Tried with IPL teams and he was also selected for Kolkata Knight Riders for the last season. Although he made his debut for PBKS on Sunday night, the franchise bought him for Rs 2 crore in a mega auction in February.
Arora said about his performance against CSK, “Yes, there was pressure for me to have a debut match, but I believed in myself, that I have done it before in the domestic circuit and also in practice matches.”
