Former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh and former India pacer Dhawal Kulkarni have claimed that Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul calls young LSG batsman Aayush Badoni ‘baby AB’. In his short journey in IPL 2022, the 22-year-old cricketer has shown all the signs of a future star, including his ability to play 360-degree shots even in crisis situations.
Speaking on Cricket Live on Star Sports, Harbhajan said, “Aayush Badoni is a very confident player and KL (Lokesh Rahul) was spot on with his observation when he said that he is very calm and composed. Seeing him playing, you would not think that this is his first IPL season. He has this ability to handle pressure which is a sign of a big player and a future star.”
“Usually, youngsters get stuck when they see a big player in front of them. But Badoni was never afraid of the reputation of the player he was facing and continued to play his shots. He has hit fours and sixes against every big player. This shows how good their mindset is. This also shows that these young cricketers have come with a lot of preparation. Badoni has shown a lot of maturity for a young player.”

Former India pacer Dhawal Kulkarni – who has played for Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians in the Tata IPL – claimed that Badoni would emerge as a big player.
Speaking on Cricket Live on Star Sports, Kulkarni said, “Ayush has shown great nature in his first IPL. When he came to bat in his debut match, his team was under pressure and he scored a half-century. In the second game, he helped his team chase a big score under pressure. He has all the qualities to become a big player one day.”
