IPL 2022: Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans unveil their jersey ahead of their debut season, see photos

new Delhi: Gujarat Titans, the newly added team in the 15th edition of the IPL, launched their new jersey on Sunday ahead of the league matches starting March 26. Gujarat captain Hardik Pandya was also present on this occasion. Apart from launching the jersey, Gujarat Titans also launched the team logo. BCCI secretary Jay Shah and Hardik Pandya pressed the buzzer to unveil the jersey to the public.

Apart from Hardik Pandya, the franchise retained Rashid Khan and Shubman Gill as their three draft picks ahead of the IPL mega auction. Gujarat Titans was bought by CVC Capitals last year for Rs 5,625 crore. Gujarat will play its first match IPL 2022 Against Lucknow Super Giants on March 28 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Despite drafting three potential match winners in the form of Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan and Shubman Gill, Gujarat Titans’ IPL auction this year was a rarity. It was not until the end of Day 2, that he chose a wicketkeeper. Eventually, they managed to get both Matthew Wade and Wriddhiman Saha, placing a heavy bid on Rahul Tewatia, who hasn’t done anything remarkable with bat or ball in the IPL other than that one innings.

Biggest Buy: Lockie Ferguson (INR 10 Cr), Rahul Tewatia (INR 9 Cr) Mohammed Shami (INR 6.25 Cr)
