IPL 2022: GT vs RR Head to Head Record and Venue Record of Narendra Modi Stadium

The big bet final of IPL 2022 is to be played between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad today. While Gujarat made it straight to the final after beating Rajasthan in Qualifier 1, the Sanju Samson-led side went into the contest against Royal Challengers Bangalore on a spectacular redemption. Rajasthan got off to a great start with the wicket of Virat Kohli in the second over, deciding to bowl first against Bangalore at the same ground on Friday. However, Rajasthan Patidar and Faf du Plessis put on a 70-run partnership to get Bangalore out of trouble. When du Plessis was dismissed in the 11th over, Bangalore wanted to get close to the total of 200 runs. Glenn Maxwell made his intention clear and got off to a good start as Patidar got another 50-plus score.

Maxwell’s fall in the 14th over opened the floodgates for Bangalore’s batting and the team was eventually reduced to 157 at 111/3 in 14 overs. Bangalore lost five wickets adding just 44 runs in their last six overs.

The target looked pretty well within reach of Rajasthan Royals and Jos Buttler ensured that no more stumbling blocks came in his team’s way to the IPL 2022 final. The Englishman remained unbeaten on 106 off 60 balls as Rajasthan chased down a total with 11 balls to spare.

Gujarat Titans, however, will have the psychological advantage of remaining unbeaten against Rajasthan Royals. On both the occasions there has been a face-off between the two teams and Gujarat has won.

It will be a chance for Gujarat Titans to create history by becoming the first lateral entry team to win the IPL trophy, while Rajasthan Royals will be desperate to bring home the trophy after a long wait of 14 years.
