IPL 2022: Girls really difficult to get David Warner out: Wife Candice Warner

Delhi Capitals opener David Warner had a great IPL. He notably had a point to prove after losing his captaincy and his subsequent expulsion from Sunrisers Hyderabad. And he scored 432 runs in 12 matches at an average of 48.00. His strike rate was 150.52 as he became the top scorer for his franchise. Also, he saved his best (92) for his old franchise. Still, his daughters were not impressed.

In an interview to Fox Cricket, Warner’s wife Candice revealed how their daughters expected the cricketer to score a ton in every single game.
“It was an experience. The girls get out David (Warner) the really, really hard way. And this I’m going after… ‘No, that’s fine. He did really, really well. He contributed to the team’. But they expect him to score 100 runs in every single game,” Candice said.

Warner also reiterated: “It is not so. This. It’s really hard because when you come home, and it’s like every day why can’t you get to 100? it’s not that easy.”

The incident happened during the game against RCB where the visuals of his daughter crying when he was dismissed went viral. Warner later revealed how his daughters wanted him to score a century every time he came out to bat.

He then revealed the three franchises that have a tremendous fan base. “It’s madness. I think if you play… there are three specific teams – Mumbai, RCB and Chennai. No matter where you play them, even if you’re at your home venue, go for them. So yes, you are against it. So hopefully you will not come against them again and again.”

“I obviously loved my time in Delhi, now it has been renamed as Delhi Capitals. Ricky Ponting is the coach, many a familiar face. Shane Watson was there, James Hopes and it was like I was back at home with the Australian boys and some new faces. ,
