Glenn Maxwell, who is back in the IPL, scored a brilliant run out to dismiss danger man Tilak Verma for a duck in a crucial match against Mumbai Indians in Pune. The Aussie came running down and shattered the stumps with his pick and throw which is also going viral at the time of writing this report. His acrobatics were instrumental in influencing a brilliant turnaround against Mumbai at RCB, which were 60/1 at one point. By the time of writing this report, they had been reduced to 62/5.

After this run out, Kieron Pollard was also dismissed by Wanindu Hasaranga, who almost ensured that Mumbai were pushed on the backfoot. Earlier, Maxwell had revealed how marriage with Vini Raman helped him in his preparations for IPL 2022.
With Saturday’s match against Mumbai Indians, Maxwell made his first appearance in IPL 2022, missing out on the opening matches due to his marriage to Indian-origin pharmacist Vini Raman. He felt that his marriage had given him time to prepare well for the tournament.
“Not really (affecting the preparation on the wedding). It’s really helped me a little bit. There’s a week or two to prepare before the tournament starts. Otherwise I would have come straight from the home heat if I had It would have been a bit early. So, I haven’t played for a month but have spent some time in the nets to start preparing with some drills and get a good lead in the game as well.”
Bangalore have four points from three matches and are looking to add two more points against Mumbai. Maxwell signed from Bangalore hoping to continue his winning path, especially with a ten-team league meaning the competition gets tougher.
