IPL 2021, PBKS vs SRH: Sensational bowling by Shami, Bishnoi helps Punjab oust Hyderabad

New Delhi: Sensational spells from Mohammed Shami (14 for 2) and Ravi Bishnoi (24 for 3) helped Punjab Kings defend the lowest score in Indian Premier League (IPL) history in Sharjah and are already Ended Sunrisers beat Hyderabad by five runs. In a match that went down to the wire. 126 was not the biggest target to chase, and that too on a smaller ground like Sharjah, but the Punjab bowlers did some sensational things to bundle out Hyderabad for 120/7.

Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and invited Punjab to bat first. The Hyderabad bowlers bowled brilliantly and restricted Punjab Kings to 125 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Jason Holder was the pick of the Hyderabad bowlers as he scalped three wickets for just 19 runs in 4 overs.

For Punjab, Aiden Markram and Lokesh Rahul contributed 27 and 21 runs respectively while Chris Gayle could only manage 14 runs. For Hyderabad, Sandeep Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan and Abdul Samad took one wicket each.
