iPhone 14 Leaked: Apple Smartphone Could Have Biggest Selfie Camera Upgrade

New Delhi: Apple iPhone 14 is all set to launch in the coming months. According to media reports, the tech giant may release the device in September or October 2022. Ahead of the much-awaited launch, several leaks have started doing the rounds on social media, pointing towards what new technology is coming to the smartphone world. According to one such leak by prominent Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the front camera of Apple’s iPhone 14 smartphone is likely to receive major updates.

Taking it to microblogging platform Twitter, Kuo revealed that Apple has decided on the suppliers who will provide it with the front-facing selfie camera of the iPhone 14. Kuo in his tweet revealed that Sony will be providing the front camera sensor for the upcoming smartphone. The tech giants, on the other hand, will source lenses from Genius and Largan. In addition, the company expects to receive new focus modules from Alps and LuxShare, Kuo said in his blog. Kuo said Cowell and LG Innotek will provide the front-facing camera module to Apple. Also, according to his blog, the camera will have new autofocus which will improve the quality of photos and videos. Other expected upgrades include a larger lens aperture. He also revealed that the new wide camera may come with a 48-MP sensor.

Meanwhile, earlier, leaks suggested that Apple may introduce significant rounded corners to match the larger rear camera array in its upcoming iPhone 14 Pro model.

The report states that the iPhone 14 Pro model is expected to have a bigger rear camera to make up for a new 48-megapixel camera system with a 57 percent larger sensor.
