New Delhi: iPhone maker Apple confirmed a major update to its operating system, iOS 15, during its “California Streaming” event, which will be available for download on September 20.
In the incident, iPhone users were asked to update to iOS 14.8, as it was recently released to fix a bug that could have allowed spyware to infect the device.
In addition to the design overhaul, the iOS 15 update will also bring new emoji, updated notes, Smart Folders, and more.
In addition to the iOS 15 Apple update, it also announced the iPad OS 15 software update for the company’s flagship tablet. The iPad will get a complete home screen overhaul and multitasking will be made easier and more user-friendly.

According to the tech giant, iOS 15 will be available for download in India from 10:30 PM IST. The company has also published a list of devices that will receive the update once it becomes available.

New Features in iOS 15
The software update will bring many new features to iPhones. Apple has added new FaceTime features, which will allow Android and PC users to participate for the first time, and iMessage improvements that make it easier to track the links and photos your friends send, as does what WhatsApp offers.
iOS 15 will allow users to invite Android and Windows users through FaceTime. Also, the conversation will sound more natural due to the spatial audio feature.

A new set of features provided by the iOS 15 upgrade will enable users to control their way of prioritizing time and attention. The new ‘Focus’ mode is one of iOS 15’s biggest changes, as users can choose from a list of focus options and decide which notifications they want to allow. When using focus the user’s position will be displayed automatically in the communication apps.
Users will now be able to add live text to photos. This feature will also work in the camera app.
The company focused on privacy, allowing users to decide how apps access their data. Apple said the feature will protect users from unwanted data collection and give them more control over what they choose to share.
