Apple has released the first public beta of iOS 15. The latest generation OS was announced by the tech giant at its annual developer conference WWDC in early June. The update will bring new features and improvements to Apple iPhones such as the ability to search for text in photos, DND mode for iMessage, and support for FaceTime Android equipment.
The new iOS features will be available as a free software update for the iPhone 6s and later models. Apple iPhones 2021 will come with the new iOS 15 out-of-the-box.
Before we tell you the steps to download iOS 15 Public Beta On your compatible device, there are a few things you must know. First, make a backup of your Apple iPhone on your computer. You can always go back to iOS 14 even after you’ve downloaded iOS 15 on your iPhone. but, any iCloud Backups made on iOS 15 cannot be restored to a device running iOS 14. - Enroll your iPhone in Apple’s public beta program.
- To do so, go to https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/ from the Safari browser on your iPhone
- Click the ‘Sign Up’ button and log in using your Apple ID and password
- Now, choose the compatible OS with your device like iOS for iPhone and iPadOS for iPad.
- Check out the Get Started section and click on ‘Enroll Your Device’ here. This will open an Apple instructions page asking you to back up your data.
- After backing up the data, click on the Download Profile button.
- Now, open the Settings app on your iPhone and tap on Beta Profile
- This will open a pop-up asking you to approve the installation
- You will be prompted to restart your device. Do it.
- Once rebooted, you can install the beta by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
Note: Keep your iPhone plugged into the charger while the OS is installed.
