Intelligence Bureau issues high alert to Delhi Police regarding drone attack before August 15

New Delhi: Ahead of India’s Independence Day celebrations, Delhi Police has received high alert from security agencies on August 15. Delhi Police has warned of terrorist activities before August 15 and security agencies have issued an alert regarding the drone attack.

Intelligence agencies have informed Delhi Police that terrorists are planning a major operation before August 15. Terrorists are planning to launch ‘Operation Jihad’ in the national capital.

The Intelligence Bureau also revealed that terrorists are planning attacks ahead of Independence Day, especially on August 5, the day the Modi government abrogated Article 370 two years ago. The agencies alerted that terrorists are planning a big drone attack to start this operation.

Following the information, Delhi Police is on high alert and along with security officials from other states have been trained to deal with drone strikes and prevent any harm to the country. The police have been trained in two levels:

1. Soft Kill: Take action when normal drone activity is observed

2. Hit hard: Police have been taught to act immediately if any flying object or suspicious drone activity is detected.

Recently, Delhi Police Commissioner Balaji Srivastava had already issued an alert after the drone attack in Jammu.

Recently, the Lucknow Police arrested two Al-Qaeda terrorists with a huge quantity of explosives and revealed that the terrorists were planning a terrorist attack in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the Independence Day.
