Instagram announces 25 notable Instagrammers India As part of its ‘We Are in the Making’ campaign, which celebrates the youth who are “in the making.” The list comes ahead of the company’s Meta Fuel for India 2021 virtual event which will take place on December 15. Many of these Instagrammers or more commonly known as Influencers (even creators) gained popularity through Reels, Instagram’s TikTok-inspired short videos that debuted last year. The company says that as part of the platform’s marketing campaign, these creators have been identified by highlighting their success. media format. The list aims to represent the most “exciting and trailblazing creators” on the platform owned by Meta (formerly Facebook) who are exploring ways to showcase their work using a variety of formats.
Instagram has also set up a dedicated microsite that highlights 25 notable Instagrammers in India under 25, along with a jury. Actors Sara Ali Khan, producers Kusha Kapila and Masoom Minawala, Youth Media co-founder Nikhil Taneja, Tamil and Telugu film composer GV Prakash, Aju Philippe, co-founder of influencer marketing agency (@fabsquadmedia), and director and partnership at Facebook India Head of Manish Chopra is all part of the jury.
Speaking about the list, Manish Chopra said, “Reels has changed the way we create and consume content on Instagram and has spawned a whole new wave of young creators. This list is our way to identify and celebrate them.
