Instagram says it’s no longer a ‘photo-sharing’ app, new tools coming

In a video posted on Instagram and Twitter, the company’s head Adam Mosseri said that Instagram is no longer a photo-sharing app. The company’s chief claims that the platform has changed over the years and is no longer a Square-photo sharing app as many of its users now watch videos for fun and do other research. It will essentially show videos from pages that the user might not find particularly interesting, but they will have the option to choose their favorite topics.
