Along with the entire country, the Indian cricketers also celebrated Holi, the festival of colours, with great enthusiasm. Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal shares glimpses of his Holi party at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru on Instagram.

In the post, Chahal was seen enjoying the festivities along with several young cricketers. Emerging talents like Washington Sundar, Umran Malik, Deepak Hooda, Arshdeep Singh and Ravi Bishnoi joined the celebration with the veteran bowler.

The group spent some quality time together. Chahal shared a few group photos, in which the cricketers posed with big smiles. The splash of colors on his face surely tells the story of his vigorous Holi celebration.

As soon as the pictures surfaced on the internet, a lot of Indian fans made their presence felt in the comments section wishing Yuzvendra Chahal and other players “Happy Holi”. A user pointed to Umran Malik’s awkward position in a frame and hilariously asked, “Why is Umran bhai standing on Sundar’s fingers?” Another user mocked Chahal’s colorful Holi avatar and wrote, “Chahal sir, now you can get a role again in Hera Pheri 3.”

While all this was going on in Bengaluru, other Indian players celebrated Holi inside the team bus ahead of the fourth Test, part of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. In a clip uploaded on Instagram by Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, other members of the team and the coaching staff are seen playing with colours. Kohli stole the show by singing and matching to a trendy song, while Rohit was caught throwing ‘gulal’ at his teammates.

Meanwhile, despite suffering a humiliating defeat in the third Test, Team India is leading 2-1 in the four-match series against Australia. The fourth game is crucial for Rohit Sharma and Co. to keep alive their dream of playing the World Test Championship (WTC) final.

After the red-ball fixtures, the hosts will play a three-match ODI series against an Australian team comprising Yuzvendra Chahal, Umran Malik and Washington Sundar. The first ODI is to be played on March 17 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
