Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal hosted an intimate haldi and sangeet ceremony for their close family members as well as friends at a luxury hotel in Rajasthan’s Sawai Madhopur on Wednesday. The couple’s three-day wedding festivities began on Tuesday with a mehendi ceremony held at Six Senses Fort Barwara, a hotel-converted fort in Rajasthan. Kaif, 38, and Kaushal, 33, have tied the knot after dating for over a year. Celebrations have been a private affair.

“Like marriage, Haldi and Sangeet are also going to be a private and intimate affair with their close family and immediate inner circle of friends. “His friends attending the wedding have known the couple since they were teenagers,” sources told PTI.

While the wedding arrangements and guest list have been closely monitored, close friends of the couple including Kaif’s frequent collaborators filmmaker Kabir Khan, his actor wife Mini Mathur, “Dhoom 3” director Vijay Krishna Acharya and “Thugs of Hindostan” and fellow employee. Actress couple Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi are also among those who attended the wedding.

Elaborate security arrangements have been made in and around the hotel. While private security personnel are guarding both the gates of the hotel, local policemen are also seen deployed in the area.
