He said the United Kingdom was facing record inflation and the same was the case with other European countries.

He called on the media to take a “balanced approach” when discussing inflation and to inform citizens about the situation around the world. “Pandemic is something that happens once in 100 years and all countries suffer from it.”

He said that the salaried class is most affected by inflation in Pakistan. Workers’ income, on the other hand, increased by 40-60 per cent, while corporate profits also increased.

‘Shahbaz is the criminal of the country’

During the Q&A session, the Prime Minister also hit out at the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Shahbaz Sharif.

“I am called not to meet Shahbaz as he is the leader of the opposition. [But] I see him as a criminal of the country.” He said the PML-N leader’s speeches often sounded like “job applications”.

PM Imran said that Shahbaz has still not responded in the Ramzan Sugar Mills case and appealed to the courts to decide the matter at the earliest by conducting daily hearings.

“Nations are not [just] destroyed by atomic bombs. By destroying morality, they too can be destroyed.”

“Half of the tax we collect is spent on paying off the loans made during his tenure.”

He said the opposition wanted to blackmail the government, but said it would be a “betrayal” if it ever gave them any concessions.

Talking about the performance of the government, he said that the World Bank had projected a growth of 5.37 per cent in Pakistan’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). He said that the government has also given incentives to businesses and the construction sector, while there has been record production of crops.

The production of cars and motorcycles is also at an all-time high, he said, adding that the government will exceed its tax collection target.

However, the premier called on people and citizens to refrain from indulging in “propaganda and fake news” that are used to spread dismay in the country.

“It has been done by mafia and our challenge is to face this mafia. They are afraid of accountability and they work closely with the media to spread despair in the society.”

“We’ve been told we’re incompetent. But economist The magazine has ranked us among the top countries that have effectively dealt with COVID-19. We too will come out of this inflationary crisis.”

Every word represents failure: Maryam

Shortly after the end of the program, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz reprimanded the Prime Minister on Twitter.

“Every word that Imran Khan said today was failure, dashed hopes and no faith in himself or PTI’s future. It was inevitable, man,” she said.

He added that this particular part of history would be “taught as a lesson of caution to those who rely more on conspiracy and conspiracy than on the power of the people”.

He said, “Your dashed hopes Imran Khan PTI A new hope for the people suffering from incompetence and incompetence of Pakistan, who are waiting for you to survive this difficult test of four years in which they lost their lives. ,
