Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), India’s largest FMCG brand, has increased the prices of its products by up to 15% with effect from May 5. According to media reports, the price of 125 gm soap of Pisarya soap has been increased by 2.4% and that of Multipack by 3.7%.

The price of Lux soap has gone up by 9%. The company has also increased the prices of Sunsilk shampoo by Rs 8 to 10. The price of Clinique Plus Shampoo 100 ml has been increased by 15%. Apart from soaps and shampoos, the price of skin cream Glow & Lovely has been hiked by 6-8%. The price of Pond’s talcum powder has also been increased by 5-7%.

Earlier in March also the prices of many products had increased.
Earlier in March this year, Hindustan Unilever (HUL) and Nestle had increased the prices of Maggi, tea, coffee and milk from March 14. Till date Hindustan Unilever had increased the prices of Bru Coffee by 3-7%, Bru Gold Coffee Jars by 3-4%, Instant Coffee Pouches by 3% to 6.66%. Apart from this, the prices of Taj Mahal tea were increased by 3.7-5.8% and that of individual teas of Brook Bond variant by 1.5% to 14%.
