IndiGo Removes Woman Pilot From Duty After Video Of Her Getting Thrashed In Delhi Goes Viral

India’s largest airline Indigo has sacked a woman pilot after her husband assaulted her in Delhi after her video went viral. It is alleged that the female pilot working in Indigo and her husband tortured their 10-year-old domestic help. Following which, a group of people alleged to be relatives of the minor girl protested and thrashed the couple at their residence in Dwarka. The video has since gone viral and the Delhi Police has confirmed the authenticity of the video.

In an official statement, IndiGo said, “We are aware of a video circulating on social media purportedly involving a person employed by IndiGo. We are currently investigating the matter. In the meantime the employee has been removed from official duties.” Has been given.”

The woman pilot’s husband also works as an airline staff, although her airline employer is yet to be confirmed. The girl has been medically examined and a case has been registered under section 323,324,342 IPC and Child Labor Act, 75 JJ Act. As per ANI report, both the accused have been taken into custody by the Delhi Police.

According to the information, the Dwarka police station received information about the misbehavior of a domestic help of a child at around 9 am on Wednesday. It was learned that a couple had hired a 10-year-old girl as a domestic help for the last 2 months.

As reported by various media channels, the couple allegedly thrashed her and burnt her with a hot clothes iron. This was noticed by a relative of the girl on Wednesday following which a crowd gathered at the couple’s residence and protested.

Giving information about the action taken in the case, Dwarka DCP M. Harsh Vardhan said, “We reached the spot and found that a 10-year-old girl has been hired by a couple as a domestic help. His medical examination was done, in which there were some injuries” and burn marks came to the fore. Case has been registered. Both the husband and wife have been detained and are being arrested. The child has been counselled.”
