Prime Minister Narendra Modi today lauded the Indian youth for their resilience and innovation, especially during difficult times, while inaugurating the 25th National Youth Festival in Puducherry via video conferencing.

During his address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India considers its youth as a demographic dividend as well as a growth driver.

During the National Youth Day event, PM Modi said, “The world has accepted that India has two immense powers – Demography and Democracy. India’s youth carry democratic values ​​with demographic dividend. India gives its youth the power of development. The carrier agrees.”

The Prime Minister highlighted how Indian youth have embraced technology and showcased their skills as more and more startups are introduced during the difficult phase of the lockdown due to COVID-19.

“Today, India has a strong ecosystem of over 50,000 startups, out of which more than 10,000 startups were established in the last 6-7 months amid the challenges posed by the COVID pandemic. Competition and winning is the mantra of New India,” PM Modi said.

PM Modi also said that the youth of India has a spirit of ‘can do’ which is a source of inspiration for every generation.

He said, “It is the strength of the youth that India has gone a long way in digital payments. Today, the youth of India is writing a code of global prosperity.”

The Prime Minister during his National Youth Day said, “The year 2022 is very important for the youth of India. The youth of today have to live for the country and fulfill the dreams of our freedom fighters. The power of youth takes India to new heights. will take it.” Program address.

PM Modi also unveiled selected essays on “India of My Dreams” and “Unsung Heroes of the Indian Freedom Movement”. An auditorium known as ‘Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Manimandapam’ consisting of an MSME technical center and an open-air theater was also inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

National Youth Festival 2022

The two-day festival will give an opportunity to discuss the issues related to development and inspire the youth of the country to solve the challenges regarding the same. National Youth Festival is celebrated to commemorate Swami Vivekananda Jayanti. The aim of the festival is to give direction to the young mind towards national development.
