India’s Personal Computer Market Declined 30% In 1Q23 On Weak Demand: Report

New Delhi: India’s traditional personal computer market, comprising desktops, notebooks and workstations, continues to decline as only 2.99 million units are being shipped in the January-March 2023 quarter, a decline of 30.1 per cent year-on-year Is. International Data Corporation (IDC).

“Channel partners at all levels for almost all sellers have been carrying heavy inventory over the past two quarters. Hence, shipments in the consumer segment reduced significantly in 1Q23 as they focused on clearing old inventory.
