Indians ready to socialize during festivals despite COVID-19 fears: Survey

The first question in the survey asked citizens about the different categories of people they expected to visit their homes in the next 30 days. In response, 17% said they expected to visit family or relatives, 8% expected “friends, neighbors and coworkers”, and 22% expected “household help, service providers, others”.

There were also 20% of the citizens who said that it is not applicable or that they do not expect anyone to come from outside in the next 30 days. Overall, 80% of Indian homes will have one or more categories of visitors coming to their homes in the next 30 days. This question got 9,392 responses in the survey.

If the reasons given by Indian households are evaluated in order of priority, 52% expect to meet domestic help, service providers, among others in the next 30 days. Overall, 59% of Indian households plan to visit family, friends, others in the next 30 days. This question got 9,181 responses in the survey.

Overall, 48% of households plan to attend festivals, birthdays, special occasions and other events in the next 30 days. This question got 8,255 responses in the survey.
