Indian Railways Services To Be Colour Coded In Lucknow Division: Read Details

Services for passengers in trains running under North Eastern Railway (NER) in Lucknow division will now be colour-coded. Dressed in bright jackets of saffron, blue and neon green, the railway staff will provide different services to the passengers.

A railway official said, “Those in orange jackets will provide bed rolls, while those in blue jackets will take care of the cleanliness and the onboard housekeeping. Swachh Praharis in green will monitor the overall cleanliness of all the personnel and the train.”

At present, this service has been started in Pushpak Express (12533), Kushinagar Express (22537) and Raptisagar Express (12511) under the pilot project. “Chhapra Express (15054) will also be added to this list in the coming week and depending on the success of the project, other trains of the division will also be added,” the official said.

Mahesh Gupta, Public Relations Officer, NER, Lucknow said, “This has been done for better services so that passengers can identify whom to seek help from. Is.” for a specific task.”

“With this system, it will be easy to identify the ‘Swachhta Prahari’ deployed to monitor the passengers during the journey and there will be quick redressal of the complaints regarding the needs and cleanliness of the passengers,” he said.
