Bharti Airtel chairman Sunil Mittal has said the regulatory regime needs to be simplified to avoid fresh litigation in the sector and pitched for reduction in spectrum pricing and lower charges.

Mittal said there are a lot of litigation in the telecom sector and added that fresh cases should be avoided. Mittal said, “I would also like to request the government that one area where we need to bring down the temperature of our industry is actually the area of ​​litigation, with a lot of litigation still pending.” He said that ongoing cases need to be settled and new cases should be avoided.
