Indian Idol 12 winner Pavandeep Rajan was on Wednesday named as the brand ambassador of Uttarakhand for arts, tourism and culture. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made the announcement after meeting Rajan at his official residence.

Rajan was announced as the winner of the show after a 12-hour concert billed as ‘The Greatest Finale Ever’ on Sony TV. The singer said that winning the Indian Idol season 12 title judged by Anu Malik, Himesh Reshammiya and Sonu Kakkar was “unbelievable”.

The singer was given a check of Rs 25 lakh from Sony Entertainment Television and a Maruti Suzuki Swift car. Finalists Arunita Kanjilal and Sayli Kamble were declared the first and second runners-up respectively. Each was given a prize of Rs 5 lakh each.

The third and fourth runners-up Mr. Danish and Nihal Tauro were given three lakh rupees each.
