Mumbai: In this ongoing Tokyo Olympics 2021, India has made us proud by creating history. The Indian women’s hockey team entered the semi-finals and became the first team from the country to do so. However, he missed out on winning the historic bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics. The team may have lost the match, but they have certainly inspired many girls to take up the sport as their career.

Several celebrities showed their support to the Indian women’s hockey team on their social media for their stellar performance. Shah Rukh Khan also shared a tweet praising the girls.

Shah Rukh tweeted, “Heartbroken!!! But all the reasons to keep our heads held high. Well done Indian Women’s Hockey team. You all inspired everyone in India. That’s a win in itself.”

Indian hockey team coach Sjoerd Margin re-shared Shah Rukh’s tweet and thanked him for showing his love and support in the Tokyo Olympics. However, the coach of the Indian women’s hockey team tagged the wrong account of Shahrukh Khan.

A few days back, Sjoerd and the ‘Pathan’ actor exchanged tweets where the two can be seen celebrating India’s victory when the girls defeated Australia to enter the semi-finals.


Meanwhile, speaking on the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in the lead role in the upcoming film ‘Pathan’.
