In the midst of the Russia-Ukraine war, the Indian government has decided to temporarily shift the Indian Embassy in Ukraine to Poland. The Foreign Ministry has said that this decision has been taken in view of the deteriorating situation in the western part of Ukraine. Earlier, on March 1, the embassy was shifted from Kyiv to Liv. Till now the embassy was functioning from here.

Modi held high level meeting
Earlier on Sunday, in view of the situation of Ukraine-Russia war, Prime Minister Modi held a high level meeting. In this, India’s security preparedness was reviewed. Also discussed the current global scenario. During this, the Prime Minister directed that all efforts should be made to bring the body of Indian Naveen Shekharappa, who was killed in Kharkiv.

Sources said that in the meeting, the Prime Minister inquired about the new technology being used in the defense machinery. During this, the PM asked in which machinery foreign goods are being used? At the same time, in the meeting, the PM directed that all the devices should be connected with the latest technology and efforts should be made that the maximum technology should be of Make in India.

During the meeting, the PM also reviewed Operation Ganga. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, NSA Ajit Doval and many senior officials of the External Affairs and Finance Ministers were present in this. The chiefs of the three armies also attended the high level meeting.

More than 17,000 people were brought to India

The Indian Air Force also participated in Operation Ganga.  2056 passengers were brought back from 10 flights of Air Force's C-17 Globemaster.
