Indian Creators Hail Ads Revenue From Twitter

New Delhi: Elon Musk-run Twitter on Friday started giving a share of advertising revenue to Indian creators under its newly launched ‘Ad Revenue Sharing Program’ for creators. After receiving their share, several users on Twitter thanked Musk and posted screenshots of the message they received from the platform.

“As your share of our ad revenue in replies, you are receiving Rs 11,298. Your share will be credited to your Paytm linked account within the next 72 hours. Thank you for being a creator on Twitter!” reads the message.

Users in the country are also depositing funds in their accounts linked to CRED Coin. After receiving the amount, a user wrote on Twitter: “Thank you Elon Musk for sharing my ad in my Paytm account”.

Meanwhile, Musk clarified that the payment is “not in line with the impact at all”. “What’s important is how many ads were shown to other verified users.

“Only verified users count, otherwise it’s trivial to game the system with bots,” he added.
