Through this recruitment drive, ICG will fill a total of 255 vacancies out of which 225 vacancies are for the post of Navik (General Duty) and 30 vacancies are for the post of Navik (Domestic Branch).

Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has started the online application process from today, February 6, for recruitment to the posts of Navik (General Duty) and Navik (Domestic Branch). Interested candidates can apply online for the posts through official website. ICG at joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in. The registration process started today at 11 am and will end on February 16 at 5:30 pm.

Through this recruitment drive, ICG will fill a total of 255 vacancies out of which 225 vacancies are for the post of Navik (General Duty) and 30 vacancies are for the post of Navik (Domestic Branch). These vacancies are temporary in nature and are subject to change depending on the availability of training slots.

eligibility criteria

Age Range: The minimum age requirement is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 22 years (for those born between 1st September 2001 to 31st August 2005). However, the upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ ST applicants and 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy) candidates is applicable only if the posts are reserved for them.

Educational qualification:

For Navik (General Duty) post, candidates must have passed certificate of 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics from the Board of Education recognized by the Board of School Education. Education (COBSE).

For Navik (Domestic Branch) vacancies, a candidate must have passed class 10 from an education board which is recognized by the Council of Board of School Education (COBSE).

ICG Navik Recruitment 2023: Steps to apply

Step 1: Visit joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link ‘Join ICG as Enrolled Personnel (CGEPT)’. Then, again click on the registration link for CGEPT-02/2023.

Step 3: Register on the new page and log in with the correct details.

Step 4: Fill the application form, pay the mandatory fee and submit the form.

Step 5: Keep a hard copy of the ICG Navik Recruitment Form for future reference.

Application fee

While applying for the post of Navik (General Duty) and Navik (Domestic Branch), candidates need to pay Rs.300 as application fee. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes are exempted from payment of application fee.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in Stage I, Stage II, Stage III and Stage IV on the basis of All India order of merit. The stages include a written test, physical fitness test, final medical at INS Chilka as well as document verification, and satisfactory performance in training at INS Chilka. It is to be noted that satisfactory performance in training as well as passing of Stage I, II, III and IV is mandatory for recruitment in ICG.
