Indian Army, Headquarters Southern Command has released a notification for a number of vacancies. As per the notification, there are vacancies for the following post including Washerman and Tradesman Mate. Candidates willing to apply for the job must submit an offline application form within 45 days from the date of issue of the advertisement. A total of 65 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive.
The application can be filled by the candidates either in English/ Hindi. “Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in any AMC unit under Headquarters Southern Command,” the official notification said.

Dhobi: Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized Board. Must be able to wash military/civilian clothing thoroughly.
Tradesman Mate: Matriculation pass or equivalent from recognized board. Familiar with the duties of the respective trades with one year experience in the trade.
Age Range
The age of the candidate should be between 18 to 25 years.

Step 1. Each applicant has to apply separately for each post.
Step 2. Application will be accepted through Registered Post or Speed Post only.
STEP 3. The application should be addressed to “The Commandant, Military Hospital, Defense Colony Road”. CHENNAI, TN, PIN: 600032″.
STEP 4. Candidates should clearly write “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF …” on the top of the envelope and category in CAPITAL LETTERS.
Step 5. The reserved category candidate should also write his/her category on the left corner of the envelope.
Indian Army Recruitment 2022: Application Fee
Candidates have to pay Rs 100 as application fee.
The job notification claims that the recruitment will be based on a written test. “The question papers of the written examination will be in bilingual i.e. English and Hindi.
However, the questions in English language subject will be in English only. The question for the post (Tradesman Mate, Washerman) will be of 10th standard. There may also be negative marking,” it added.
