Rajputana Rifles of the Indian Army announced recruitment for the posts of Tailor, Barber and Bootmaker at Regimental Center in Delhi Cantt, with reservation for unreserved, ex-servicemen and PwBD categories.

The Rajputana Rifles of the Indian Army has released a recruitment notification for Group C posts in its Regimental Center at Delhi Cantt. Eligible candidates, who have passed 12th class can apply for various posts. The application deadline for general candidates is July 15. However, applicants from Ladakh division of Jammu and Kashmir, Lahaul and Spiti districts of Himachal Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands have been given an additional week to submit their applications.

Positions Open:

The Rajputana Rifles Regimental Center at Delhi Cantt is conducting direct recruitment for the posts of Tailor, Barber and Bootmaker. Selected candidates for Tailor & Barber posts will get pay ranging from ₹18,000 to ₹56,900 under Pay Matrix Level-1. On the other hand, bootmakers will be given a salary ranging from Rs 19,900 to Rs 63,200 under Pay Matrix Level-2. These posts carry different pay scales depending on the respective levels in the pay matrix.

The essential qualifications for application are as follows:

For Tailor Post, applying candidates must have passed Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized Board. Along with educational qualification, they should have knowledge and expertise in tailoring and cutting of uniforms. Candidates should have at least one year practical experience in tailor trade.

For the post of Barber, applicants must have passed Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized Board. They must demonstrate proficiency in the trade of barbering, including skills in cutting, styling, and grooming hair. Apart from this, the candidates are required to have at least one year of professional experience in the barbering field.

In case of Bootmaker post, candidates are expected to have passed Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized Board. They must have diverse skills in various aspects of boot making, such as tarpaulin and canvas work, industrial textile (IC) equipment operation, boot repair, vehicle seat repair, and other leather-related jobs. In addition, candidates should have one year practical experience in boot-making trade.

Total No. of Vacancies:

For Tailor post, there is only one vacancy, and this post is reserved for unreserved category. Similarly, there is a specially marked vacancy for the post of Barber reserved for Person with Disabilities. For Bootmaker post, one vacancy is reserved for Ex-servicemen.
