Suryakumar Yadav said that he would have liked to finish the game but it would be a good lesson for him. The India star was cast by Trent Boult in the 17th over, after which India went on to win the T20I era under Rohit’s captaincy and Rahul Dravid’s tenure.

Haven’t done anything different: Suryakumar

Notably, it was a perfect comeback for Suryakumar, who didn’t get too many opportunities in the T20 World Cup. The India batsman could manage only 42 runs in 3 innings in the showpiece event where India were knocked out in the Super 12.

“I’m not doing anything different, whatever I’ve been doing for the last 3-4 years, that’s just me. I bat the same way in the nets and repeat the same in between. I try and work on myself. I put a lot of pressure in the nets, for example if I get out I just try to come out of the nets and think what I could have done better and it really helps when I play in the middle It is,” said Suryakumar.

Notably, Suryakumar Yadav made full use of the opportunity to bat at No.3 in the absence of former skipper Virat Kohli, who has been rested for the first Test after the T20I series and the current series.
