Reduction in caseload and increase in recovery rate can be a ray of hope for the country. However, the number of omicron cases in the country also cannot be denied as it is spreading faster than any other type according to the World Health Organisation.

The Omicron tally has reached 83 in India with 10 new cases being reported in Delhi, taking the national capital’s daily increase to 85, the highest in the last 137 days. There are omicron positive cases in 13 states of India. However, no serious case has come to the fore so far.

So far, Omicron cases have been confirmed in 77 countries around the world. And one death has been reported in the United Kingdom.
