‘India Mein Wo Selector Paida Nahi Hua Jo Virat Ko Drop Kar Sake’ -Former Pakistan Skipper

Former India captain Virat Kohli’s poor form continues as the team lost the second ODI against England on Thursday. Kohli himself scored 16 off 25 balls as India were bundled out for 146, 100 runs short of England’s total. A good score here could have done a world good, not to mention his 12 runs in 2 T20I matches had already given enough cannon fodder to his opponents who sought to drop him from the national side. Moreover, the cricketing world is divided over his form, yet, he also has his supporters like Rashid Latif, who have been insisting that Kohli will score a century in ODIs, unfortunately, that is not the case yet. Has happened.

The former Pakistan captain, speaking on his official YouTube channel, said that no Indian selector has the guts to drop Kohli from the team. “India doesn’t have the selector who can drop Virat (Kohli) for the sake of it.”

Speaking further, he took a jibe at BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, who had earlier said in an interview that Kohli needs to get back in form citing his numbers.

“You are talking about one player, but even the entire Indian team is not winning consistently. You are placing a gun on Virat’s shoulders and keeping the rest of the players safe. You look at 2019 World Cup, 2021 T20 World Cup.. Even when Virat didn’t perform, what were others doing? Latif said.

He said that the modern-day game is a different animal and Kohli is being picked in a very unfair way as the likes of Kane Williamson are also going through a drought.

“Modern cricket is different. Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Kohli, Rohit Sharma.. Everyone has some weakness and they get exposed soon because of the technology we have now. But he hasn’t changed his game. Kane Williamson is going through the same phase as Kohli. Short length delivery is a weakness for them. All of them have to go over their basics, you need to consult your best coaches and work on your weaknesses,” Latif said on his official YouTube channel.

Virat Kohli will be out of action for a month as he has been rested from the five-match T20I series against West Indies. This means that he will play in the next Asia Cup which is not before the end of August.
