‘India blocks Pakistan’s participation in SCO Summit’: Reports

In a major development, India has barred Pakistan’s participation in a seminar on Pakistani English daily Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). dawn Reported on Wednesday.

According to media reports, a symposium titled ‘Contribution of SCO Armed Forces to Military Medicine, Health Care and Epidemics’ was organized by India. Manohar Parrikar The Institute for Defense Studies and Analyzes took part on Tuesday, which was attended by SCO members and observer states.

“India has misused its position as the chairman [of the SCO] And acted irresponsibly to deny a sovereign member state the right to participate in the SCO event,” an official told Pakistani media.

However, India rejected the claims and said that the event was abandoned after the neighboring country’s officials incorrectly depicted Jammu and Kashmir on its map.

Islamabad, on the other hand, has rejected the claims and asserts that the area is a disputed territory – a claim that India has repeatedly denied.
