Ind vs WI, 2nd ODI: KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal & Navdeep Saini Join Indian Camp; BCCI Shares Pic

New Delhi: The second One-Day-International of the three-match ODI series between India and West Indies is set to be played on February 9 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Just two days ahead of the match, three players who weren’t available for the first ODI, have now joined the Indian team.

India’s ODI team vice-skipper KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal have joined the Indian camp after missing the Ind vs WI 1st ODI. Meanwhile, Navdeep Saini, who had tested positive for Covid-19, is also back with the team. The speedster was a reserve player and has now become part of the Indian camp after testing Covid negative in two consecutive RT-PCR tests.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Monday, took to Twitter to share pictures of Rahul, Mayank, and Saini training at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The second ODI between India and Windies will be played on Wednesday at Ahmedabad.

“Look who are here! The trio has joined the squad and sweated it out in the practice session today. #TeamIndia | #INDvWI,” the BCCI said in a statement.

Rahul had made himself unavailable for Ind vs WI first ODI due to personal reasons. Agarwal, who was then still completing his quarantine after being added to team India’s side last week, missed the series opener.

KL Rahul will most likely be included in India’s playing XI for the second ODI, but it will also be interesting to see which player will be benched to make room for the vice-captain.

Ishan Kishan had opened with Rohit Sharma in the first match, most likely, the young opener will be rested so that KL Rahul can open with Rohit in the second ODI.
