The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released a video on its official Twitter handle in which Indian coach Rahul Dravid and cricket legend Virat Kohli congratulate the right-arm pacer.

The Indian team has the upper hand in the ongoing second test match against the Sri Lankan team in Bangalore. Team India put up another stellar performance as they posted a total of 252 in their first innings and 303/9 d in the second while Sri Lanka were bundled out for 109, with Jasprit Bumrah taking five wickets. Sri Lanka lost 1 for 28 in their second innings and needed 419 runs to win the Test match. Bumrah’s scintillating innings of Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer apart from Bumrah’s five-wicket haul, was another heart-wrenching moment.

Sri Lankan fast bowler Suranga Lakmal is playing his last international match for his side. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released a video on its official Twitter handle in which Indian coach Rahul Dravid and cricket legend Virat Kohli congratulate the right-arm pacer. The conversation is winning hearts online. The video from BCCI’s official Twitter handle was captioned, “Head Coach Rahul Dravid and former Team India Captain Virat Kohli congratulate Suranga Lakmal as he is all set to bid goodbye to International Cricket.” The 13-second video has garnered over 376.6k views on Twitter so far.

In the clip, Dravid is first seen shaking hands with Lakmal and congratulating him for his contribution to Sri Lankan cricket. The coach was followed by former Indian captain Virat Kohli.

Lakmal is an experienced right-arm fast bowler and has represented Sri Lanka in 70 Test matches. During his tenure, he has taken 171 wickets so far, and in fact, he is the fourth-highest wicket-taker for the Sri Lankan team in the longest format of the game. In his Test career spanning over a decade, Lakmal has taken five wickets four times. In his final Test, which is underway, Lakmal could get only one wicket in both the innings.
