IND vs SL 2022, 2nd Test: India opt to bat first, Axar replaces Jayant

India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat against Sri Lanka in the second test match played in Bengaluru on Saturday.

India made a change and included Axar Patel in the playing XI in place of Jayant Thakur.

Sri Lanka, on the other hand, were forced to make two changes with Kusal Mendis and Praveen Jayavikrama replacing Pathum Nisanka and Lahiru Kumara, who were ruled out due to injuries.

India won the first test by an innings and 222 runs.
